Maldivian rider maturing to competing stage

It was a Friday. I was bored at home. So I thought of going out for a ride. I came out the people favorite road. The Bodu Thakurfan magu. But this Friday is unusual then other Fridays. More people are other road. When I came to near FSM fuel shad (Galolhu) I saw many people gathered in one place (behind STELCO). I thought was a protest. Then I make-up my mind and when to see what was going on. It was sports motor cycle show. All the high CC motor cycles were parked one side of Bodu Thakurfan magu. They were not only showing their bikes, some were showing their abilities too.

As the number of sports motorists is getting increase in the country. And they are becoming useful. Some rider just ride just enjoy of ridding high CC motorcycles. While other try to do some thing different from what others does. The so-called stunts, VG, bend over, burn outs…etc. Now some of them are ready show up what they have.

These riders have the potential and the guts. But there is no way of practicing their skills, the only possible way is do it illegally on the road. If government or an association helps these people they can be useful ones. So the police officers don’t have to run behind them. Asking from them please STOP!!.

If they (government or the association) don’t help things will happen like what happen in the last two or three Fridays. Most of them came to the public road to show up their stunts. In my opinions it’s not good to practice it on a heavily crowed area like Bodu Thakurfan Magu. Specially days like Fridays Saturdays or any public holidays. So give them a hand. One day they can do something for this country. They can go……

Arranging the show

Rider also can organize the shows during the Fridays in organized way. Now things happen is as they come to spot people also coming on to the road. Half of the road will be with people. This means one lane will be blocked and the other lane will be for these (riders) and other drives. This is not good way. They (riders) have to ask for the people safety and they have to tell the negative side of this. For this they can appoint some fellows. So they can make the road clear there want be any congest on road. This will make thing safer.
